About the Mobile Communication Programme
Communication devices are everywhere and their ability to communicate with each other has become something we expect to happen seamlessly. While communication between devices is becoming simpler and more streamlined, as well as more powerful, the technological means to achieve this are growing in complexity.
Consumers and manufacturers alike expect an increasing level of sophistication from their devices. Satisfying this demand requires the implementation of groundbreaking inventions. Allowing efficient access to these technologies - and securing proper rewards for the their inventors - is also becoming more complex.
With the Mobile Communication Programme (MCP), Sisvel makes access to these enabling technologies easier.
Sisvel’s MCP offers a one-stop shop solution to license all standard essential patents (SEPs) for mobile communications held and/or managed under Sisvel’s various licence programmes, for their use in mobile communication products according to any of the mobile communication standards represented in the platform. We do this for the SEPs we own and control within the Sisvel group of companies, as well as the SEPS we administer for our partners.
As such, we offer a single solution to license SEPs for the field of use of 3G UMTS and 4G LTE.

The Mobile Communication Programme is offers a running royalty licence. In addition, relevant products may be licensed under specific lump sum terms, by identifying the IMEI/TAC codes of such products through a compliance process.

Licence Terms
The MCP offers a single process and a single platform to license all Sisvel held and/or managed patents in 3G and LTE standards. The royalty rates are offered on a per product basis, respectively applicable only for devices making use of the relevant field of use, as per the table below:

Provided a licensee is in full compliance with its obligations under the MCP licence agreements, the royalty rate payable for each licensed product shall be subject to the Compliant Rate.

A one-time non-refundable entrance fee of €5,000 is due on the licence agreement signature date. A bank guarantee or security deposit may be required.

In addition, under the Mobile Communication Programme, Sisvel is available to discuss the specific circumstances of licensees that wish to license relevant products under specific lump sum terms, subject to a compliance system that identifies the IMEI/TAC codes of such products.
Patents
Sisvel has the right to grant non-exclusive licences to the patents listed in the documentation provided under the below links.
The table in these documents allows interested parties to understand how the SEPs offered under the MCP are utilised by products complying to such standards and, to this end, indicates relevant standards, version of the standards and sections of the standards, in relation to the MCP offer.
NB. Patents held by Sisvel International SA include patents previously held by Nokia. Patents held by 3G Licensing SA include patents previously held by Orange.
