Sisvel an increasingly important patent owner in the field of telecommunications

Leveraging on years of investments in R&D activities, carried out in Sisvel Technology, so as to develop new technologies and corresponding IP positions as well as working with third parties wishing to divest valuable patent portfolios, Sisvel Group is today the owner of more than 320 patent families, most of which in the field of consumer electronics and telecommunications.
Sisvel is becoming an increasingly relevant patent owner, with more than 1,100 patents worldwide in the mobile communication field alone. This creates synergies with Sisvel’s activities as licensing administrator in the same field, where Sisvel currently manages its multi-generational licensing program for 3G and 4G standard essential patents – the Mobile Communication Program – to which all its relevant assets are contributed.
After having completed the acquisition of new portfolios in the beginning of Q2 2019, Sisvel currently disposes on more than 70 patent families essential to 3G and/or LTE. These families include, among others, patents originally filed by Blackberry and LG Electronics, with about 200 patents.
